Yes, it's a thing and I LOVE IT. Silky, slinky, loose. comfortable and also perfect for this Fall weather - warm when you need it, breezy and cool when temps spike.
Here's what to look for in your pajama for public.
- Look for piping detail or tuxedo collars. They elevate what is essentially an oversized silk shirt into the insouciance of a cool french girl.
- Yes, it should be oversized. If you want to nip in the waist look for waist sashes that also double as matching microscarves/chokers/bows.
- No prints please! Look for monochromatic black and white, gold, silver, navy or the Pantone color of the year "Rose Quartz" (aka blush, glossier pink, salmon, dusty rose, caramel...)
- Pajama pants should be monochrome and somewhat tailored.
The top half look awesome paired with skinny jeans or flares. The silk pants look rad with a tee (graphic or monochrom) and a leather jacket. You can also go all in on the look and pair with matching pants - there is nothing more IDGAF then leaving the house in fancy pajamas and heels. So tragically cool.
